2010 marks the 30th anniversary of Roadrunner Records, and as we close out the year in celebration, we’re looking back on the last three decades with a little help from our friends.
Founded in 1980 in Holland to export albums from the US to Europe, it wasn’t until 1986 that Roadrunner opened a New York office and began to release burgeoning bands stateside. With such a broad history jam-packed with so many influential artists, we’re turning it over to Slipknot,Murderdolls and now Rob Zombie drummer Joey Jordison to help us recount the past by answering some quick questions survey-style.

On Friday, January 7th, MTV UK will broadcast Slipknot live in concert as part of the channel’s flagship ‘MTV World Stage’ series. The show will feature the Iowan outfit’s crushing headline performance from Download 2009 � the last major show with bassist and founding memberPaul Gray, who tragically passed away earlier this year.
Filmed on June 13th, 2009, the band performed in front of a packed Donington Park in the UK to over 80,000 fans. Slipknot are in their most natural state on stage, and on that now-legendary day, there were 30 cameras on hand to capture every single angle as the masked nine-piece motored through their iconic catalog.
The show will be broadcast around the world (ex- North America) on the MTV network in over 160 countries! UK viewers can see the show on MTV UK (Sky channel 350 and Virgin Media channel 311) at 11pm, broadcast in high definition. Other countries only need check your local MTVwebsite for time of broadcast.
